Ivinson Building

The Ivinson Home for Ladies is more than just a residence; it is a landmark steeped in Laramie history and architectural beauty. The original structure of the Home was built in 1930 with the philanthropic vision of Edward Ivinson, designed to provide a comfortable and welcoming sanctuary. The stately building is filled with historic charm and thoughtfully designed spaces, featuring 22 beautifully appointed rooms for our residents, alongside a full, modern kitchen that produces our daily home-cooked meals. Every corner of the Home, from the elegant detailing to the comfortable living spaces, speaks to a commitment to quality and enduring comfort.

Complementing the historic architecture are a variety of contemporary amenities designed to enhance the ladies’ daily lives. The Home boasts two delightful sunrooms—one at the end of each wing—providing bright, tranquil spots for quiet reading, puzzle-solving, and conversation. Additionally, we ensure the ladies’ comfort and convenience with several dedicated guest rooms that allow family and friends to stay nearby, as well as an on-site salon where the ladies can easily get their hair done. This blend of historic beauty and practical convenience makes the Ivinson Home a truly exceptional place to live.
